[Nishiwaki Junzaburo Seminar : Public event] The Humorous Nature of Nishiwaki's Poetry —The Freshness of the Nishiwaki Image Captured by Kiwao Nomura and the Charm of His Words

What is the enduring appeal of Nishiwaki's poetry, which remains fresh even 130 years after his birth?

Mikio Yagi will delve deep into the "Nishiwaki World," focusing on Kiwao Nomura's book, Hagiwara VS Nishiwaki: The Possibilities of 20th Century Japanese Poetry (Shichosha).

Dialogue: Kiwao Nomura × Mikio Yagi

This dialogue event is the first public event held by the "Nishiwaki Junzaburo Seminar," which has been active as a research group within the Art Center since 2012. Following the donation of Nishiwaki-related materials by the late Toshikazu Niikura, an archive was established, which in turn led to the formation of this seminar.

The society has held over 70 seminars to date, continuing a broad, deep, and multifaceted exploration of Junzaburo Nishiwaki.
A dialogue between poets Nomura-san and Yagi-san is sure to provide fascinating insights!
